I once bought a scooter in Hanoi and sold it in Saigon.

This is what came next.

Me on my trusty scooter while living in Hanoi, Vietnam

Hi! I’m Ariel — I eventually traded that kind of glorious freedom for a corporate role as a marketing director at a global luxury travel company based in Beverly Hills — a world away from my days on a scooter in Hanoi. (The scooter had better mileage.)

When I finally decided that running on cortisol and coffee weren’t desirable personality traits, I took it as a sign to build something that felt more like me and less like back-to-back meetings every hour.

That’s how Questy came to be — my creative studio helping travel, hospitality, and lifestyle businesses clarify their strategy, strengthen their messaging, and build memorable visual identities.

The best destinations have a feeling you can't quite explain, but instantly recognize. Questy builds that for travel, hospitality & lifestyle brands.

My career has been shaped by two very different sides of travel: the strategy and storytelling I developed while working in luxury travel marketing, and the curiosity, connection, and cultural immersion I found while living abroad in Hanoi and traveling throughout Southeast Asia.

I have created and led marketing programs and content campaigns in partnership with many of the world’s leading hotels, airlines, cruise lines, and tour operators — developing a deep understanding of how exceptional brands tell their stories, connect with their audiences, and create experiences people remember.

Living in Asia also changed the way I think about experiences. The moments I remember most weren’t always the most polished or perfectly planned — they were the small details: a shared meal, an unexpected conversation, a new flavor, or the feeling of discovering somewhere new.Today, Questy brings those perspectives together — combining thoughtful strategy with the stories, culture, and details that give brands their style, personality, and depth.

I also write The Cultural Playlist on Substack, where I explore destinations through playlists, color palettes, recipes, books, films, and more. The best brands, like the best places, are meant to be experienced.

Cultural curiosity meets creative direction.

I believe the best experiences and the best brands are shaped by the same thing: thoughtful details that transform something good into something unforgettable.

Think of it like finishing a bowl of pho with a squeeze of lime — simple yet transformative. That's the role I play for brands.

Based in Los Angeles, I bring together a background in luxury travel marketing, cultural storytelling, and design to help travel, hospitality, and lifestyle businesses build brands that people remember.

If that sounds like your kind of adventure, let’s go. I’d love to hear what you’re building.
